Cross-divisional teams of North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI) employees use the CNA to conduct rigorous, multi-day assessments of the State's lowest-performing schools and in any school district that has a lowest-performing school. CNA data provide critical insights into root causes of challenges and inform the development of district and school improvement plans. DPI leadership coaches also use CNA results to support district and school improvement.
